Photos - 30 Mile Hike - 2008
From y2008m04d25 to y2008m04d26

Years ago the annual 30 Mile Hike became a Good Friday tradition which is continued by a number from our congregation (along with friends they might invite). After the Good Friday morning church service, we head out on a hike following an old railway bed from around Port Hope to Bethany. Anyone is welcome to go 10 miles to a pickup point, while only the guys can continue to camp (it's a guy bonding thing). After sleeping (hopefully) over at camp, the gang continues another 15 miles to the conclusion.

Because of scheduling and unusual amounts of snow this spring we postponed the hike from March 21, 2008 to April 25. While the date change did seem a little heretical the conditions were a lot nicer. It also meant that a bunch of the Brinks could come, and Josh too (as he was off school then).

Comment on this (0 so far) y2008m04d25 - Pete bravely decided to take a quick dip (despite feeling a little under-the-weather to begin with). I've censored the original photo but you get the idea -- we've got photo proof of Pete's feat.
