It can be pretty disturbing but I think it is important. The reviews on the site, a branch of Focus on the Family, are detailed and solid and I value them highly. If they have a review for a particular movie I read it before making a decision on whether to watch that movie or not.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/salemurc.org\" target=\"_blank\">Salem United Reformed Church of Bowmanville<\/a><br \/>\nThe local church that I attend has a website with information on what we believe, causes we support, and different things happening in our church life.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chp.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Christian Heritage Party of Canada<\/a><br \/>\nThe CHP is Canada&#8217;s only pro-Life federal political party, and the only federal party that endorses the Judeo-Christian principles enshrined in the Canadian Constitution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Online Radio Stations<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/zradio.org\/listen\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Rock<\/a><br \/>\nThe Christian rock station is just heavy enough for me to dig it plenty.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/somafm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SomaFM<br \/>\n<\/a>I regularly tune in to the Def Con Radio, Dubstep Beyond, and Beat Blender channels of this listener-supported, commercial-free, internet-only radio station, as they are great background music when I want neither silence nor distracting lyrics. Note &#8211; some channels have more lyrics than others and they can be objectionable.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/radiou.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">RadioU<\/a><br \/>\nThis Christian station has channels for my two favourite genres: Battery (hardcore \/ metal) and Fusion: Electronic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Software &#8211; Productivity<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/keepass.info\/\" target=\"_blank\">KeePass Password Safe<\/a><br \/>\nThis free, open-source password manager helps you to manage all those passwords, credit card numbers, etc in a secure way.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.7-zip.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">7-Zip<\/a><br \/>\n7-Zip is an open source file archiver with a high compression ratio.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">OpenOffice.org<\/a><br \/>\nOpenOffice.org fully-featured open source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and more.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pdfforge.org\/pdfcreator\" target=\"_blank\">PDFCreator<\/a><br \/>\nPDFCreator is a free tool to create PDF files from anything you can send to a printer. One note though &#8211; they&#8217;ve been bundling some extras with their install so be wise when you&#8217;re going through the install options.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/xubuntu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Xubuntu Linux OS<\/a><br \/>\nXubuntu is a community developed, Linux-based operating system. I installed it on my Acer Aspire One netbook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Software &#8211; Graphics<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/gimp.org\" target=\"_blank\">GIMP image editor \/ paint<\/a><br \/>\nI *luv* the GIMP! It is a very powerful image manipulation program with lots of features. It&#8217;s free! Go! Download it now! And then build a masterpiece!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/inkscape.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inkscape vector illustrator<\/a><br \/>\nI use this for graphic design work. It&#8217;s great!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Software &#8211; Internet<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/filezilla-project.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">FileZilla FTP client<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/firefox\" target=\"_blank\">Mozilla Firefox web browser<\/a><br \/>\nFirefox rocks my socks! I&#8217;ve used it nearly exclusively since switching from Internet Explorer. I use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/developer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Developer Edition<\/a> for web development.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/thunderbird\" target=\"_blank\">Mozilla Thunderbird email client<\/a><br \/>\nFree, extensible, and easily portable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Software &#8211; Recovery<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.handyrecovery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Handy Recovery<\/a><br \/>\nHandy Recovery\u2122 is an easy-to-use data recovery software designed to restore files accidentally deleted from hard disks and memory cards. The program can recover files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software faults, files from deleted and formatted partitions, or restore files dumped from the Recycle Bin. (I&#8217;ve used this software to rescue loads of files from two messed HDDs.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.isobuster.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">IsoBuster CD &amp; DVD recovery<\/a><br \/>\nRescue lost files from a bad or trashed CD or DVD disc.
