Comment on this (0 so far) y2007m05d04 - Unfortunately the German Friendship Globe wasn't spinning that day, but it was still cool to look at. The thing weighs somewhere around two tons! Unglaubliches! Comment on this (2 so far) y2007m04d26 - There were cool little jellyfish-type-things in the water, which glowed slightly. They were fairly hard to see by eye, but the camera's flash must have lit them up nicely.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d17 - Chris L. brought a bunch of sparklers for the kids - go wild! Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m07d28 - Note - this could be a bit yukky. Dad was working on his indestructable mailbox when the 18 inch piece of 3/8 wall, 8 1/2 diameter tubing finished being cut and toppled down onto his right foot. The great toe and its neighbour were the unfortunate ones, mostly the great toe as this photo will atest to.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m07d28 - Grandma makes these cool activity books for kids. They are titled "Quiet Please" and have things like clothes that you can clip to a line, counting beads, and a build-your-own clown face, shown here. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m07d28 - I just wanted to take a photo of the chandelier. ß-)
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - The theme this year was Western hence the shotgun and belt on the table. Um, sorry about the crumby quality. And don't stare at the table cloth too long or you'll get a migraine. ß-) Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m12d23 - While the tree was being setup by the rest of us, Dad put together this little thing where metal angels spin around from candle heat and ding bells. The constant, cheery dinging is part of the whole Sissons Christmas experience.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m12d23 - Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree! How lifeless are your branches! Yes, the sad truth is that our tree is fake this year. We couldn't find a place that sold real ones. At least it can't die. Why, we could leave it up till March!
