Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Some of the YP got up early and made breakfast, so the chaperones could sleep in. Then they decorated the chaperone's table and sang a thank-you song as they served the food. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - At my table.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - At Albert's table. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - These are the T-shirt we could buy. I have lots of T-shirts so I bought the matching cap instead.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Josh and Jeff. I think you should have bought a large, Jeff. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Lots of people had others sign their newspaper, shirts, address books, etc. I signed a bunch of things but never did get anyone's number...
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Mikey just loves those grilled cheese sandwitches. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Jason and a little bit of me.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Greg's got style.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m09d01 - Everybody had to get in those final photo shoots. These girls weren't posing for me, by the way. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - The Cinderfella skit at Talent Night.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - Albert as Napoleon. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - What was it with surgery at Talent Night...?
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - A new twist on an old classic. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - Poor Mikey was forced to drink a whole jar of Cod Liver Oil.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - The skit group I was in got to do Jack and Jill Went up the Hill. I was Jack and Rachel was Jill and Justin was Buttercup, Jill's pet bull. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - In the Bowmanville's skit, we're being interviewed by Chrissy's Christian Courtship Services.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - Justin sang a solo. I don't think I'd have had the guts to do that... Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - Skit by Burlington - hillarious or disturbing? Both.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - On a different note, this song, written and performed by Brian with Mark joining in, was thought-provoking and beautiful. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d31 - At the campfire.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d30 - The Americans versus Canadians quiz game. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d29 - Luv that icecream!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d29 - Some of the Bowmanvillians. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d29 - Cambridge put together an Iron Man (er, Person) game which involved running, logs, running, rolling, running, ropes, running, more running, and ended with running. As you can see, this photo depicts the logs portion. Look at them Iron Women go!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d29 - The Cambridge Van Dykens totally rocked in the competition, with Ruth winning the Iron Woman event and Matt winning the Iron Man event. This is Ruth. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d29 - Here are some of the top men.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d28 - Home, sweet cabin. I'm heading for the left wing. Comment on this (0 so far) y2006m08d28 - Our sports teams. Team 2 didn't exactly own but we didn't loose either. Kinda mid-pack.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Dave, Yvonne, and Rebecca playing volleyball. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Serena, Becky, Ashley, and Amanda.

Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Marie, Ruth, and Jen. Too bad the latter two closed their eyes for this shot. And Marie, thanks to you and Abby for all your help! Right on! Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - In the background we've got Pete and GJ, while Amanda, Ashley, Serena, and Becky are taking the front row.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - In the background we got Jessica, my sweet sis, Chrissy, and Rebecca. In the foreground Esther is on a mission to get someplace. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Matt and Esther leaving the fire.

Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Here we've got a shootout of sorts - Jeff and Peter versus Yvonne (who took this photo). Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Football is the best sport in the world. Or is it soccer? Remember - define your terms!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - A few pre-YP's are here too. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Man - the Zeger's field looks so small here...
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Amanda and Ashley are watching the soccer game. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Here is a group shot of the girls.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - The guys are trying to assemble themselves. We had stronger issues with defending our personal space so it took a little work to get in place. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - Though arguably not as photogenic, here are the guys in their group shot.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m05d07 - And here we've got the whole gang. Well, a few people that attended are missing, but most are here. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Here we are at our annual Christmas dinner for our church's Young People group.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - And the other side of the table. Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - The theme this year was Western hence the shotgun and belt on the table. Um, sorry about the crumby quality. And don't stare at the table cloth too long or you'll get a migraine. ß-)
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Mmm... That was tasty! Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Personally, I don't think you can get too much better than vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Well, unless you have hot chocolate syrup. Oh, and peanuts sprinkled on top!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - A big thanks to the head cooks! Way to go girls! Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - And don't forget the clean up crew. Good job!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Gun totin' Josh. Look out banditos - the sheriff is in. Or does he look more like a bandito...? Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - O...K...? I'm looking pretty weird here... What was in that juicy?
Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Pete is getting us to guess the secret word. "It's a... a... treadmill? An escalator? A corkscrew?" Comment on this (0 so far) y2005m01d08 - Faster, Rach, faster! Time is running out! BTW, my team whipped the other one in this game. Oh, yeah!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m09d25 - Some of the fair maidens - Ruth, Maria, and Abby. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m09d25 - Distinguished gentlemen - Pete and Matt.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m09d25 - Heads up, y'all! Aaron and Matt are lettin' arrows fly. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m09d25 - Ruth, Chrissy, and Amy, no doubt engaged in a profound discussion of life's deeper matters.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m09d25 - We were thinking of filming a play so here Ruth is reading through a book to search for something suitable. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d19 - We were waiting for quite a while at the airport in Houston, TX so Rachel and Pete posed for the camera with some stylish hats bought in the Centro in Tepic.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d19 - The line was dragging on so Pete took a shot of Rachel wearing his slick shades. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d19 - And another one of Pete's shades, this time on Chrissy.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - This photo was taken on the second Sunday. I put names tags around to help you sort out who's who. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - Here we are with the Mexican YP. They stayed after the church service for lunch, Bible study, and a hike.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - Here are the Mexican YP (plus Jessica and Pastor Anema) at the top of a nearby mountain that we hiked up after the Bible study. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - (Yes, the art in the background was added after the fact.)
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - Paco played some sweet guitar for us. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d18 - Pete
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d17 - Don't tell anyone, but we did have a chance to hit the beach on Saturday the 17th. ß-) It was super! The waves were warm and great to ride on. I got a nasty sunburn but it was worth it. (I only get like four minutes of direct outdoor sunlight a day so a bunch of hours in the Mexican sun did a number on my pasty white back.) Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d17 - Nate succeeded in scaling a coconut tree at the beach. We cut open some coconuts and drank some of the milk. ¡Mmm, que rico!
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d17 - Matt during an interview. Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d17 - Nate filming, well, Nate.
Comment on this (0 so far) y2004m07d11 - On Sunday the 11th there was a potluck lunch at the mission after the church service. The Young People had a table together. Even though most the Mexican YP didn't know much English and therefore communication was limited, I still enjoyed spending time with them. Comment on this (0 so far) Our work for the mission consisted mostly of distributing "folletos" or tracts around a neighbourhood while those able to speak Español would invite people to come to the local park that afternoon for a program. Then in the afternoon we'd host a program which included kid's songs, story/discussion groups, a message, and a movie once it was dark. Here are Pete, Pastor H. Bout, and Matt amidst the stuff setup for the program.
Comment on this (0 so far) Amy and Chrissy did a great job leading us on keyboard. The team learned a few Spanish songs which we would sing before the message and movie at the program. I found I was surprisingly familiar with them by the end of my time in Tepic, despite the fact that pretty much all the lyrics were new words to me and even now I don't know what a number of them mean... Comment on this (0 so far) One of the YP there we got to know best was Jorge (don't quote me on the spelling - it is Spanish for George).
Comment on this (0 so far) Another of the YP, Liz. Comment on this (0 so far) And here is Denise.
