On July 9 Pete, Chrissy, Abby, and your's truely found our way to Uncle Mawdy's place for a garden party Amy and Maria were hosting. I was tickled to be on the short guest list! It had a Victorian era theme so we had to dress up for it. Now it is somewhat against my beliefs to wear suits but yeah, what could I do... Mom got an older-skool outfit which worked out OK (although it did itch and chafe some). With the hat I thought I looked more like a gangsta than a Victorian gentleman but I wasn't wearing jeans so I passed inspection. I'm not much of one for formalities but once in a while I do like to act a little more refined. Anyway, it was lots of fun. Thanks to the girls and Aunt Irene for *all* their work!

Not too shabby, huh. ß-) The outfit was a touch big - the pants would have rushed to obey gravity's wishes if it were not for my trusty belt. Was it just the tea, or was it the company and atmosphere that made it so appealing?
